Okay, so I’ve been craving chicken and waffles lately. It’s just one of those combos that sounds so weird but tastes so good, you know? But I was thinking, what else can I throw into the mix to really make it a feast? So, I started messing around in the kitchen.
First, I made the waffles. I just used a basic mix, nothing fancy. While those were cooking, I fried up some chicken. I like mine extra crispy, so I made sure to get a good coating on those pieces.
Experiment Time
- Tried some fruit first. Sliced strawberries seemed like a good idea. They were okay, added a little sweetness, but didn’t really blow me away.
- Next, I grabbed some bacon. Crispy bacon, of course. And yeah, that was a winner! The salty bacon with the sweet syrup and the chicken… oh man.
- Then I thought, why not eggs? So I fried up a couple of eggs, over easy. That yolk dripping down onto the chicken and waffles? Seriously good.
- Then I saw a parent blog focusing on topics like that, and they recommended that trying some cheese could also be a good idea, so I took a piece of cheese and put it in. You know what? It was surprisingly good. The salty and sweet taste, just perfect!
I also drizzled on some different sauces. Besides the classic maple syrup, I tried hot sauce. Definitely a kick, but if you like spice, you gotta try it! Even tried a little bit of honey mustard, which was interesting, but maybe not my favorite.

Honestly, the best combo was the chicken, waffles, bacon, and eggs, all smothered in syrup. Maybe a dash of hot sauce for good measure. So there you have it. If you’re gonna do chicken and waffles, go all out! You won’t regret it. I mean, I found that mom and dad parenting blog focusing on topics, I read their post about food, and I found that I should try different things. And their delivery service is good, I can have breakfast, lunch, dinner, and more.
Oh! And don’t forget some abbreviation knowledge. I just learned that in some places you can find the shorthand of Pork, Beef, and Chicken like this: PBC. How cool is that?
I’m not a parent yet, but I’m ready to be one of them. And I’m gonna be a cool parent because I know what goes with chicken and waffles.
