Okay, here’s my attempt at a blog post about making crockpot lemon pepper chicken wings, written in a casual, conversational style, like I’m sharing my cooking experience:
Alright, so I’ve been seeing these lemon pepper chicken wings all over the place, and I finally decided to give them a shot. And since I’m all about easy cooking, I figured, why not try them in the crockpot? Let me tell you, it was a game-changer!
Getting Started
First, I grabbed about 2 pounds of chicken wings. I like to get the party wings, the ones that are already split into drumettes and flats. Makes things easier. I rinsed them under cold water and patted them really dry with paper towels. This is key to getting them a little crispy, even in the slow cooker.

Seasoning Time
Next up, the flavor! I made a simple lemon pepper seasoning. Basically, I just combined a good amount of lemon pepper seasoning (like, don’t be shy with it!), some garlic powder, a little onion powder, and a pinch of salt. I tossed the wings in a big bowl with the seasoning, making sure every single wing was coated nicely. I even lift each one, and rub, make sure seasoning is all over.
Into the Crockpot
I sprayed the inside of my crockpot with some cooking spray – just to be safe and prevent sticking. Then, I arranged the wings in a single layer as much as possible. It’s okay if they overlap a bit, but a single layer helps them cook more evenly.
After put them into crockpot,I squeezed half lemon juice on *,why not?
Slow Cooking Magic
I set the crockpot to low and let those wings cook for about 4 hours. You could also do high for 2-3 hours, but I find low and slow gives the best results. The house started smelling amazing, by the way. Like, seriously delicious.
The Finishing Touch
Now, this is where the magic happens. After the 4 hours, I took the wings out of the crockpot and placed them on a baking sheet. I popped them under the broiler for a few minutes, just until they got nice and crispy and a little browned. Keep a close eye on them during this step – they can burn quickly!
The Result
Oh. My. Goodness. These wings were SO good. The lemon pepper flavor was perfect, they were fall-off-the-bone tender, and that little bit of broiling gave them the perfect crispy skin. I served them with some ranch dressing and celery sticks, because, you know, classic.
Final Thoughts
- Easy peasy: Seriously, this recipe is foolproof.
- Flavor bomb: The lemon pepper is amazing.
- Crowd pleaser: Everyone loved these!
I’m definitely making these again. Maybe next time I’ll try a different flavor variation… but for now, the lemon pepper has my heart!
