Okay, so I’ve been seeing these “buffalo wing seasoning” recipes all over the place lately, and I finally decided to give it a shot. I mean, who doesn’t love a good wing, right?
First things first, I gathered all my ingredients. I already had most of the spices in my pantry, which was a good start. You know, the usual suspects like paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. I did have to run to the store for some butter though, can’t forget that!
- paprika
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- cayenne pepper
- butter
Next up, I prepped the chicken wings. I bought a big pack of those party wings and patted them dry with some paper towels. Apparently, this helps the seasoning stick better. Then, I whisked together all the spices in a bowl. It smelled pretty darn good, I gotta say. It was a mix of all things, really. I added a little extra cayenne because I like mine with a bit of a kick.

Then came the fun part – tossing the wings in the seasoning mix. I just dumped them all in a big ziplock bag, poured in the spices, and shook it like crazy. Made sure every single wing was coated nicely.
After that, I melted the butter in a saucepan and added in some hot sauce. I used Frank’s RedHot because that’s what everyone seems to recommend for buffalo wings. I stirred that all together until it was nice and smooth.
Now for the cooking. I decided to bake them in the oven, but I’ve read people use air fryers or grills, really, no big deal. I laid the wings out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and popped them in a preheated oven at 400 degrees. I flipped them halfway through, and they were done in about 40 minutes. You’ll know when they get all crispy and golden brown.
Once they were cooked, I tossed the wings in the hot butter sauce. I just poured the sauce over the wings in a big bowl and gave them a good toss to make sure they were evenly coated.
Finally, time to eat! I served them up with some celery sticks and blue cheese dressing, just like they do at the restaurants. And let me tell you, they were amazing! Super flavorful, with just the right amount of heat. I think I even like them better than the ones I get at the bar.
Honestly, this was way easier than I thought it would be. Definitely going to be making these again. Next time, maybe I’ll try grilling them. If you’re a fan of wings, you gotta try this out. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!
