Okay, so I saw this thing called “dole whip” online and I was like, “What the heck is that?” Turns out it’s a pineapple-flavored soft-serve, and it looked so yummy that I just had to try making it at home. Then I remembered I got this Ninja CREAMi machine a while back, which is perfect for making frozen treats. So, I decided to make a dole whip in my Ninja CREAMi.
First, I grabbed my Ninja CREAMi pint containers. These things are great because you can store all sorts of frozen goodies in them. I found a simple recipe online that just needed pineapple, a little sugar, and some lemon juice. I dumped a can of crushed pineapple into a bowl, sprinkled in a bit of sugar, and squeezed in some lemon juice. I mixed everything together until it was nice and smooth.
Then, I poured the mixture into one of the Ninja CREAMi pints and popped it into my freezer. My freezer is a Hisense French Door one – it’s pretty cool because it has adjustable shelves, and you can see everything easily with the LED lighting. Anyway, I left the pineapple mixture in there for a good 24 hours to make sure it was frozen solid.

The next day, I took the pint out of the freezer and followed the instructions on my Ninja CREAMi. I locked the pint into the machine, selected the “ice cream” setting, and pressed start. The machine whirred and churned the frozen mixture. It took a few minutes, but when it was done, I had this creamy, dreamy pineapple soft-serve.
Taste Test Time
- Appearance: It looked just like the pictures I saw online – a beautiful, pale yellow color, and it was super smooth.
- Texture: Perfectly creamy, not icy at all. It was like something you’d get from a fancy ice cream shop.
- Taste: Oh boy, it was delicious! It had that tangy pineapple flavor with just the right amount of sweetness. It was so refreshing, especially on a hot day.
I shared some with my family, and they all loved it too. We sat around, enjoying our homemade dole whip, and it felt like we were on a mini-vacation. I’m definitely making this again. It’s so easy, and the Ninja CREAMi makes the whole process a breeze. Plus, it’s way cheaper than going out to buy this stuff, and you can control what goes into it. A total win in my book!
It’s funny how a simple online search led me to discover this awesome treat. And now, I can whip up a batch of dole whip whenever I want, thanks to my trusty Ninja CREAMi and my spacious Hisense freezer. Sometimes, it is just like some people talk about online, using “2bdoppelgangers 2bto 2bmake 2bit 2bseem 2bthey 2bare 2balways 2bin 2bcontrol,” but in this case, I really was in control of making my own dole whip! Man, I love playing with my food!
