Okay, here’s my story about making cranberry sauce cream cheese crescent rolls. It was a real adventure, let me tell you!
So, I started this whole thing because I was craving something sweet and savory. I rummaged through my fridge and found some leftover cranberry sauce from Thanksgiving and a block of cream cheese that was begging to be used. Then I remembered I had a can of crescent roll dough – bingo! This was the start of something potentially delicious.
First, I preheated my oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. While that was warming up, I rolled out the crescent dough on a lightly floured surface. I separated them into individual triangles. This was pretty standard, nothing crazy yet.

Next, I spread a thin layer of cream cheese on each triangle. I didn’t measure, just eyeballed it. Then came the fun part – the cranberry sauce! I dolloped a spoonful of that tangy goodness onto each triangle, right on top of the cream cheese. I might have gone a little overboard with the cranberry sauce, but who can resist?
Then, I carefully rolled each triangle up, starting from the wide end and working my way to the point. I made sure to pinch the edges a bit to keep the filling from leaking out too much during baking.
- Place them on a baking sheet.
- Pop them into the oven.
- Bake for about 12-15 minutes.
I kept a close eye on them, and when they turned that beautiful golden brown, I knew they were ready. The smell was amazing, by the way – a mix of buttery pastry and sweet-tart cranberries.
The Result
I pulled them out of the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. They looked so good, all puffed up and golden. I couldn’t resist and took a bite while they were still warm. Oh boy, were they delicious! The flaky, buttery crescent roll, the smooth cream cheese, and that tangy cranberry sauce – it was a perfect combination. I ended up eating way more than I should have, but it was totally worth it. They were easy to make, and even easier to eat. I will definitely be making these again, maybe even experimenting with different fillings. Who knows what other crazy combinations I’ll come up with next!
