Gluten Free 3 Musketeers: The Ultimate Guide (Ingredients & More)

Okay, so the other day I was craving something sweet, and I remembered those 3 Musketeers bars I used to love as a kid. But, I’m trying to eat gluten-free now, so I thought, “Why not try to make my own?” And that’s exactly what I did!

Getting Started

First, I gathered all my ingredients. I knew I needed something for the fluffy nougat center and, of course, chocolate for the coating. I did a little digging online and I already had a good number of things at home.

The Nougat Adventure

I started this part by figuring out the recipe, I mean, the basic ingredients. I got some:

Gluten Free 3 Musketeers: The Ultimate Guide (Ingredients & More)

  • Egg whites
  • Sugar
  • Corn syrup
  • Honey
  • Vanilla extract
  • And some gluten-free chocolate, it’s melted.

I beat the egg whites until they were super fluffy, like little clouds. In a separate saucepan, I combined the sugar, corn syrup, honey, and a bit of water. This part was a little tricky because I had to heat it to a specific temperature. I don’t really get it. I am a regular Joe, so I just do it until it looks about right. It needs to be syrupy but not too thick, you know?

Once the sugar mixture was ready, I slowly poured it into the fluffy egg whites while my mixer was still going. This was the magic moment! The mixture started to thicken up and get all glossy. Then, I stirred in the melted chocolate and vanilla. I just added them and mix them all together.

Chocolate Time!

For the chocolate coating, I melted some more gluten-free chocolate. Make sure it’s good quality, ’cause it makes a big difference! I used the microwave, I don’t care what others say. Once it was smooth, I lined up this baking sheet with parchment paper, and use it to put my nougat in. I wait for it to cool down and set, and I cut the now-cooled bars into small sizes, and then dipped each piece into the melted chocolate, making sure it was completely covered. I put them back on the parchment paper to let the chocolate harden.

The Moment of Truth

After what felt like forever (it was probably just an hour in the fridge), I finally took one out and bit into it. And let me tell you, it was SO GOOD. The nougat was light and fluffy, and the chocolate was rich and smooth. I made it! My homemade gluten-free 3 Musketeers!

It might not have looked exactly like the store-bought ones, but it tasted amazing, and that’s all that matters, It’s super good, and you guys should try this sometime.
