Okay, here is my experience about how to make a banana bread with crushed pineapple.
I’ve been craving some homemade banana bread lately, the kind that’s super moist and just packed with flavor. And you know what? I figured, why not throw some crushed pineapple into the mix? It sounded like a fun twist, and let me tell you, it was totally worth it! Here’s how I made it.
First, I gathered all my ingredients. I’m talking about ripe bananas, of course – the spottier, the better. Then, I grabbed some flour, sugar, eggs, butter, baking soda, a pinch of salt, and a can of crushed pineapple. Oh, and some vanilla extract, gotta have that!

I started by mashing those bananas in a big bowl. I like to leave them a bit chunky, gives the bread some texture, you know? Then, I melted the butter and mixed it in with the sugar until it was all nice and creamy. Cracked in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each one. Then, I poured in that vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, I whisked together the dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, and salt. Nothing fancy, just making sure it was all combined. Then, I gradually added the dry stuff to the wet ingredients, mixing until it was just combined. Gotta be careful not to overmix, nobody wants tough bread!
Now for the secret weapon: the crushed pineapple! I drained most of the juice out, but left a little bit in there for extra moisture. I gently folded that into the batter, trying not to crush the pineapple too much.
Baking Time!
I greased up a loaf pan and poured the batter in, smoothing out the top. Then, into the oven it went! I baked it at 350 degrees for about 50-60 minutes. The smell filling up my kitchen was simply heavenly.
To check if it was done, I stuck a toothpick in the center. Came out clean, so I knew it was ready! I let it cool in the pan for a bit before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. It was tough to wait, but trust me, it’s worth it.
The Result
- Moist: Oh my goodness, this bread was unbelievably moist. The pineapple did wonders!
- Flavorful: The combination of banana and pineapple was a match made in heaven. Sweet, but not too sweet, with a nice little tang from the pineapple.
- Texture: Perfectly soft and tender, with those little chunks of banana I love.
Honestly, this might be my new favorite banana bread recipe. It’s easy, delicious, and that crushed pineapple just takes it to a whole new level. If you’re looking to switch up your banana bread game, you gotta try this!
