Okay, so I saw this recipe online for a chocolate chip cookie and Cool Whip dessert and thought, “Why not give it a try?” I’m not much of a baker, but this one looked pretty straightforward.
First off, I gathered all the stuff I needed. I already had some chocolate chip cookies at home – the store-bought kind, nothing fancy. I ran to the store and grabbed a tub of Cool Whip and some chocolate syrup. I also picked up some sprinkles because, well, why not? Everything looks better with sprinkles.
The recipe said to layer the cookies and Cool Whip in a dish. So, I took a small glass dish and started with a layer of cookies on the bottom. I tried to make it neat, but they’re round, so it wasn’t perfect. Then, I spread a big dollop of Cool Whip over the cookies. This part was kinda fun – like frosting a giant cookie cake. I kept going with the layers: cookie, Cool Whip, cookie, Cool Whip. It was kind of like making a lasagna, but way easier and sweeter.

- Put a layer of cookies on the bottom of the dish.
- Spread Cool Whip on top of the cookies.
- Add another layer of cookies.
- Add more Cool Whip on top.
- Repeat until the dish was full.
Steps I did:
Once I finished the layers, I drizzled some chocolate syrup on top. I might have gone a bit overboard, but I love chocolate. Then came the sprinkles! I shook them all over the top, making it look all festive and colorful.
The recipe said to chill it in the fridge for a couple of hours, so I stuck it in there and waited. It was tough, I won’t lie. I’m not the most patient person when it comes to desserts. Finally, after what felt like forever, I took it out. It looked pretty good, if I do say so myself. I scooped some into a bowl and took a bite. It was actually really tasty! The cookies were a bit soft from the Cool Whip, and the whole thing was just creamy and sweet.
Overall, it was a win! Super easy to make, and it definitely satisfied my sweet tooth. I’d probably make this again, maybe for a party or something. It’s not exactly gourmet, but it’s a fun and simple dessert that anyone can throw together.
This was kinda fun! I should do this more often – the cooking thing, I mean. It was messy, the kitchen’s a wreck, but the dessert’s good, so I’m happy. I ate like half the dish, but no regrets. Right, gotta go clean up now. Bye!
Please note: You may need to adjust the amount of ingredients based on the size of your dish. This recipe is also very customizable, so feel free to add other ingredients like fruit or nuts.
