Okay, so I’ve been seeing these super fluffy crepes all over my feed, and most of them use Bisquick. I’m a Bisquick fan – pancakes, waffles, you name it – so I figured, why not try crepes? I grabbed my box of Bisquick and decided to give it a whirl.

Getting Started

First things first, I needed a recipe. I wanted something simple, so I searched Bisquick Crepe recipe on internet.I ended up using a pretty basic one.

Mixing it Up

I grabbed a big bowl and tossed in the Bisquick, some milk, a couple of eggs, and a bit of sugar. I also added a splash of vanilla extract because, well, why not? Everything’s better with vanilla, right?

Then, I whisked it all together. I made sure to get rid of any big lumps, but a few small ones are okay. It doesn’t have to be perfectly smooth like pancake batter. The batter turned out pretty thin, which I figured was a good sign for crepes.

Cook Time

I heated up my non-stick pan over medium-low heat. I’m not gonna lie, I was a little nervous about this part. I sprayed a bit of oil onto the hot pan before I added any batter.

And I poured some batter to the pan.

I swirled the pan around to spread the batter super thin.

The first one was, uh, interesting. It stuck a little bit and tore when I tried to flip it. But hey, that’s what the first pancake (or crepe, in this case) is for, right? It’s the test subject!

I adjusted the heat a little, making it a bit lower. The second one went much better! I cooked it for about a minute or two on each side, until it was lightly golden and looked set.

I was so pround of myself when I finished the last crepe!

The Taste Test

I stacked the crepes on a plate and grabbed some of my favorite toppings: fresh berries, whipped cream, and a drizzle of Nutella. I mean, you gotta have Nutella with crepes, it’s the law.

And the verdict? They were good! Seriously good. They were light, fluffy, and had a nice, slightly sweet flavor. They weren’t quite as thin and delicate as traditional crepes, more like a very thin pancake, but I wasn’t complaining. They held up well to the toppings, and that’s all that matters to me.

I made myself a cup of tea and enjoy the crepes!

So, would I make Bisquick crepes again? Absolutely! It’s a super easy and quick way to satisfy a crepe craving, especially if you already have Bisquick on hand. Just remember to keep that heat low and be patient with the first one – it’s a learning curve!
