Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another one of my food experiments. Today, I was craving some pancakes and decided to whip up a batch using Bisquick mix. But then I got curious – just how many calories are in these fluffy delights? So, I decided to do a little digging and share my findings with y’all.
First off, I grabbed my box of Bisquick and checked out the nutritional label. It says that 1/3 cup of the mix has about 140 calories. But that’s just for the dry mix, you know? We gotta factor in the other stuff we add to make the pancakes, like milk and eggs.
So, I started by making a standard batch of pancakes according to the instructions on the box. I measured out the mix, added the milk and eggs, and whisked it all together. Then, I cooked up the pancakes on my griddle, flipping them when they were golden brown.

Once the pancakes were done, I did some quick math. Based on the ingredients I used, and some information from the internet, a single serving of two pancakes, using 1/3 cup of mix, has somewhere around 268 to 320 calories. That’s not too shabby, right?
Here’s a rough breakdown of what I found online:
- Some folks say a serving of Bisquick pancakes (however they define ‘serving’) is about 320 calories, with 65% carbs, 23% fat, and 12% protein.
- Others say two pancakes made from a single-serve mix come out to around 268 calories, with 58% carbs and 30% fat.
- One source broke it down by ingredient, but that got a bit complicated for me. It mentioned that 1/3 cup of the mix itself is 140 calories, with 9% fat and 82% carbs.
- And then there was this one that said you can make 4 servings with 5 minutes of prep time, and it’s about 230 calories.
- Oh, and Betty Crocker’s own mix says 0.33 cup has 28g total carbs, 3g fat, and 3g protein.
So there you have it – a rough estimate of the calories in Bisquick pancakes. Keep in mind that this can vary depending on how you make them, what you add, and how big your pancakes are. But hey, at least now we have a general idea, right? I am gonna enjoy my pancakes now, peace out!
