Alright, guys, let’s talk about this ramen recipe I tried out the other day. It’s got broccolini in it, which, you know, is like broccoli’s fancier cousin. I’m always looking for ways to jazz up instant ramen, and this one seemed pretty simple and tasty. So, I decided to give it a go and see what all the fuss was about.
First off, I gathered all my ingredients. I grabbed a pack of instant ramen, some fresh broccolini, butter, garlic powder, and an egg. Oh, and that everything bagel seasoning that’s been all the rage – I figured it couldn’t hurt to throw some of that in there too.
I started by cooking the ramen according to the package instructions. Pretty standard stuff. While the noodles were boiling, I chopped up the broccolini into bite-sized pieces. I didn’t want huge chunks in there, you know?

The fun part
Once the noodles were done, I saved some of the cooking water like the instructions said. You never know when you might need some extra liquid for the sauce. Then, I drained the noodles and tossed them into a pan with a bit of butter. I let the butter melt and coat the noodles – gotta have that buttery goodness.
Next, I sprinkled in some garlic powder. I didn’t measure, just eyeballed it. I like garlic, so I went a little heavy-handed. Then came the egg. I cracked it into a bowl, beat it a little, and then poured it over the noodles. I also added a splash of that reserved noodle water to help create a sort of sauce.
Now, here’s where I deviated a bit. I threw in the chopped broccolini. I stirred everything together, letting the broccolini cook for a few minutes until it was tender-crisp. I didn’t want it to get all mushy.
The finishing touches
Finally, I sprinkled a generous amount of everything bagel seasoning on top. I mean, why not? It’s got all those tasty seeds and spices. I gave it one last stir and then plated it up.
Honestly, it turned out pretty darn good! The broccolini added a nice crunch and freshness, and the egg made the sauce kind of creamy. The everything bagel seasoning was a nice touch, too. It was definitely a step up from plain old instant ramen.
- Instant Ramen – 1 pack
- Broccolini – 1 bunch
- Butter – 1 tbsp
- Garlic powder – 1 tsp (or to taste)
- Egg – 1
- Everything bagel seasoning – to taste
I’ve heard that eating instant noodles all the time isn’t the best for you, but I think as a once-in-a-while treat, it’s fine. And hey, adding some veggies like broccolini probably makes it a little bit healthier, right?
Anyway, if you’re looking for a quick and easy way to upgrade your ramen game, I’d say give this recipe a try. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s tasty and satisfying. Plus, it’s a good way to use up any leftover broccolini you might have lying around. Bon appétit, folks!
