Okay, so, I’ve been wanting to try out this matcha protein powder thing for a while. I kept seeing it online and thought, why not? I mean, I love matcha, and protein powder is good for you, so it’s a win-win, right?
First, I needed to find some matcha powder and protein powder. I didn’t want anything too fancy or expensive, just something decent to start with. I went online shopping and compared, like, a billion different products, ranging in all kinds of prices. I finally found the matcha that fits the best for me, but I already have the protein powder at home.
Finding the Right Matcha
I learned that there’s something called “ceremonial-grade” matcha, which is supposedly the best. Apparently, it’s made from the first harvest of the year, so it’s got more flavor and nutrients and is a brighter green color. Sounded good to me! But there are also many other options. Finally I chose one that I thought was the best.

Mixing It Up
Next, I had to figure out how to mix this stuff. I didn’t want to just dump it in water, that sounded gross. I found a recipe online that seemed pretty simple. It involved adding a scoop of matcha and the protein powder to some other stuff.

- Then, I put them into a blender bottle.
- After that, I added a little water and shook it up.
- The first time, I think I used too much water because it was kind of watery.
- The second time, I used less water, and it was much better – nice and creamy.
The Verdict
So, after all that, how did it turn out? It is pretty good! It’s got that distinct matcha flavor, which I love, and the protein powder makes it more filling. I drank it after my workout, and it kept me full for a while. I think this is going to be my new go-to post-workout drink. It’s a fun way to get my protein and enjoy the taste of matcha at the same time. Plus, I feel good knowing that I’m getting all those extra nutrients from the matcha.
