Okay, so I was looking to make some snacks without any dairy for this party I’m throwing, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey. I started off all excited, thinking it’d be a breeze. I mean, how hard could it be, right?

First, I grabbed a bunch of recipes online. I was going to make some of those baked pot stickers I saw on a post. The idea of twisting those wonton wrappers like little candies sounded pretty simple. I got all the ingredients, started wrapping, and yeah, it wasn’t as easy as it looked. Some of them turned out okay, but others… well, let’s just say they weren’t exactly party-ready.

Moving on, I decided to try making something called “Party Shrimp.” The name sounded promising, and the recipe said the marinade would make them super flavorful without needing any dip. I mixed up the marinade, tossed in the shrimp, and let them sit for a while. When I cooked them, they smelled amazing! I was feeling pretty good about these. They were a bit messy, but I put out some napkins, it was okay.

My Dairy-Free Snacks List

  • Baked Pot Stickers: Not as easy as it looks, but they are tasty.
  • Party Shrimp: Messy but delicious. The marinade is the key!

Then I remembered a friend telling me about smoked salmon bites. I love smoked salmon, and with some creamy avocado, it sounded like a winner. I picked up some good quality smoked salmon, mashed up some avocado, and assembled these little bites. These were a hit! They looked fancy and tasted even better. Definitely making these again.

I also wanted some easy, no-cook options. I grabbed some plain and BBQ Lay’s chips – always a crowd-pleaser. Then I found these great value chocolate cupcakes at Walmart. You gotta make sure they’re the generic ones because the name brand has dairy. I also got some Hippeas, which are like a healthier version of cheese puffs, and some pretzels with hummus. Simple stuff, but it’s good to have options, you know?

More Easy Snacks

  • Smoked Salmon Bites: A bit fancy, super tasty with avocado.
  • Plain or BBQ Lay’s: Classic for a reason.
  • Great Value Chocolate Cupcakes: Make sure they’re the dairy-free ones!
  • Hippeas: Like cheese puffs but better.
  • Pretzels with Hummus: Easy and always a good choice.

So, yeah, that was my adventure making dairy-free appetizers. It had its ups and downs, but in the end, I had a good spread of snacks that everyone enjoyed. It was a good learning experience, and I’ll definitely be trying more dairy-free recipes in the future. Maybe next time, I’ll find something even easier that tastes just as good!
