So, I’ve been messing around with my air fryer lately, trying to find new stuff to cook in it. I saw some stuff online about making “tatraar” in the air fryer, and I thought, “Why not?” I mean, I like tatraar, and I like using my air fryer, so this could be a good match.
First, I had to get all my ingredients together. I went to the grocery store and got some really fresh meat. I mean, you can’t make good tatraar with old meat, right? It’s just not gonna be good. I also grabbed some goat cheese, and some pistachios, ’cause I saw a recipe that used those for a crust, and that sounded pretty interesting. I also made sure to have all my other usual stuff for tatraar.
Next, I started prepping everything. I made sure the meat was all ready to go. Then I got to work on that pistachio crust. I mixed the goat cheese and the pistachios all together, you know, to make it all stick and form a nice crust.

Then came the time to actually use the air fryer. Now, I’ve learned a few things about using this thing. You can’t just cram it full of food and expect it to come out crispy. It’s not gonna happen. You gotta make sure there’s enough space for the air to circulate. That’s how you get that nice, crispy texture. So, I put the tatraar in there, making sure not to overcrowd it.
I set the timer for about 10-15 minutes, like some of the online instructions suggested. The waiting was the hardest part, you know? I kept peeking in to see how it was doing, ’cause I didn’t want it to overcook or anything.
Finally, the timer went off. I carefully took the tatraar out of the air fryer. And let me tell you, it looked pretty good. The crust was all golden and crispy, and the meat inside was cooked just right. It smelled amazing, too.
The Result
- Appearance: Golden and crispy on the outside, just like I wanted.
- Texture: The crust was crunchy, and the meat was tender. It was a good combination.
- Taste: Honestly, it was delicious. The flavors all came together really well. The goat cheese and pistachio crust added a nice touch.
So, yeah, making tatraar in the air fryer turned out to be a success. It’s definitely something I’d try again. Maybe next time I’ll experiment with different crusts or seasonings. Who knows what other tasty things I can come up with? This whole air fryer cooking thing is turning out to be a fun little adventure.
