What to have with crab legs, huh? That’s a good question. I remember back in the day, we didn’t have no fancy stuff. We just ate what we had. But these crab legs, they’re a treat, ain’t they?
Now, you wanna make sure you got somethin’ to go with ’em. You can’t just eat crab legs all by themselves. That ain’t no good meal.
Well, some folks, they like a big ol’ baked potato. Just a plain one, with some butter, maybe some sour cream. That fills you up good. And potatoes is cheap, you know. Crab legs, they can cost you a pretty penny. So, a potato, that’s a good way to stretch your dollar. You can bake them potatoes, or even boil them, no need for nothing fancy.

Or, you could have some corn on the cob. Corn’s good, especially in the summer when it’s fresh. Just boil it up, slather it with some butter. Simple, but good. Corn and crab, that’s a good combination, I reckon. Yeah, corn is a good friend with those crab legs.
And if you want something green, maybe some roasted vegetables. Just chop ’em up, toss ’em with some oil, and stick ’em in the oven. Carrots, broccoli, whatever you got. They get all nice and brown and tasty. Vegetables is good for ya, you know. Gotta get your vitamins and all that stuff. These vegetables are easy to cook. You don’t need to do nothing special with them.
Some people like that yellow rice, or that other kind, orzo rice, I think it’s called. I ain’t too familiar with that fancy stuff, but I guess it’s alright. Rice is rice, far as I’m concerned. But if you like it, you have it. It’s your dinner, after all. Rice goes with everything, just like them potatoes.
Then there’s coleslaw. That’s just shredded cabbage and carrots, with some kind of dressing. I make mine with mayonnaise and vinegar. Some folks like it sweet, some like it tangy. It’s up to you. Coleslaw is good, it’s crunchy, and it’s a good way to get some more vegetables in ya. It’s a good side dish, I’d say. And easy, oh, so easy to make.
And what about that mac and cheese? Kids love that stuff. It’s just macaroni and cheese sauce, you know. You can make it from a box, or you can make it from scratch if you’re feeling fancy. But either way, it’s good. And it goes good with crab legs, I guess. It’s creamy, and the crab legs are kinda sweet, so it’s a good combination.
Oh, and don’t forget the biscuits! Buttermilk biscuits, if you can get ’em. They’re fluffy and soft, and they’re good for soppin’ up all that buttery crab leg goodness. Biscuits is easy to make, too. Just a few ingredients, and you’re good to go. Biscuits and crab legs, now that’s a meal fit for a king, or maybe a queen. I love them biscuits.
Some people like that fancy sourdough bread. That bread with the holes in it. If you like it, it’s ok. I think the biscuits is better. They’re good for dipping in the crab leg butter.
And don’t forget a salad. Just some lettuce and whatever else you got. Maybe some tomatoes, cucumbers. A salad is always a good idea. It’s light, and it’s refreshing. And it’s good for ya. You don’t want to get fat, do you? A little salad never hurt nobody.

If you want to do something easy, just boil some rice, plain rice. Or, steam some vegetables like broccoli or green beans. Those green things are good for you. They make you strong.
Now, if you’re feeling rich, maybe you can have some of them fancy Gruyere Scalloped Potatoes. I don’t know what that is, but it sounds expensive. It’s probably just potatoes with some fancy cheese on ’em. If you got the money, go for it. But if you’re like me, just stick with the regular baked potato. It’s just as good, and it won’t cost you an arm and a leg. You can make a lot of different food with potatoes. They’re good.
