Okay, so today I tried making something called a “Crown and Cranberry.” I’d seen it floating around online, and it looked pretty festive, so I figured, why not?
Getting Started
First, I grabbed my ingredients. I mean, that’s always the first step, right? I already had a bottle of Crown Royal – my go-to for easy cocktails. Then I ran to the store for some cranberry juice. I opted for the regular stuff, not the diet kind, because, you know, treat yourself.
Mixing It Up
Next up, I got a rocks glass – the short, stubby kind. I filled it with some ice cubes. Nothing fancy, just regular ice from my freezer. I poured in a shot of Crown Royal. I don’t really measure, I just kind of eyeball it. Seems to work out okay.

Then I topped it off with the cranberry juice. Again, no measuring, just poured until it looked like a good ratio. I’d say it was maybe three times more cranberry juice than whiskey, but honestly, it’s all about personal preference.
The Final Touch
I gave it a quick stir with a spoon I had lying around. Some people might use a fancy cocktail stirrer, but, eh, a spoon works just fine. And, you know what? It looked pretty good! The color was this nice, deep red, very…holiday-ish.
Tasting Time
Finally, I took a sip. And…it was good! Seriously. It was sweet and a little tart from the cranberry, and the Crown Royal gave it that nice, smooth warmth. It’s super simple, but sometimes those are the best kinds of drinks.
My thoughts
- Super easy to make.
- Tastes pretty darn good.
- Looks festive, even if you’re just chilling at home.
So yeah, that was my “Crown and Cranberry” adventure. It was no big production. It’s a straightforward, tasty drink, anyone can make it.
