Okay, here’s my blog post about making cubed frozen potatoes:

So, the other day I was staring into my freezer, wondering what to make for dinner. I was craving something simple, carby, and satisfying. Then I spotted it: a bag of plain, cubed frozen potatoes. I thought, “Why not?” Let’s get cooking and see the process from beginning to end, recording all the details!

Getting Started

First, I grabbed the bag of potatoes out of the freezer. These were just regular, no-frills, pre-cut potatoes. I like these because some times, I can have other dishes that are time-consuming to cook, but I can have more dishes if I make it simple.

The Cooking Process

  • Preheated the oven to 400°F (about 200°C). I just guessed at this temperature, to be honest. It seemed like a good, all-purpose potato-roasting temp.

  • Spread the frozen potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet. I didn’t bother thawing them. Straight from the freezer to the pan!

  • Drizzled a decent amount of olive oil over the potatoes. Enough to coat them, but not so much that they were swimming in it.

  • Sprinkled on some seasonings. I kept it simple: salt, pepper, and a bit of garlic powder. You could totally get creative here, though. Paprika? Onion powder? Herbs? Go wild!

  • Tossed everything together. I just used my hands to make sure the potatoes were evenly coated with oil and seasonings.

  • Popped the baking sheet into the preheated oven.

  • Set a timer for 20 minutes. I figured that was a good starting point.

Checking and Adjusting

After 20 minutes, I took the potatoes out and gave them a good stir. Some were starting to brown, but they weren’t quite crispy enough for my liking. So, I put them back in for another 10 minutes.

The Final Result

After a total of 30 minutes, I pulled the potatoes out of the oven.

They were golden brown and crispy on the edges, and soft in the middle. I did a little taste test (because, quality control!), and they were perfect! I can just take them out and put them on the plate. It’s very easy and convenient.

So, that’s it! Super simple cubed frozen potatoes. Sometimes the easiest things are the tastiest. Hope you try this!
