Okay, here’s my blog post about experimenting with Frangelico in drinks, written in a casual, personal style:

So, the other day I spotted this bottle of Frangelico at the liquor store. I’d heard of it, you know, that hazelnut liqueur? I’d always been curious, but never actually tried it. I figured, “Why not?” and grabbed it, thinking I’d mess around with some cocktails at home.

My First Sip

First things first, I had to taste it straight. I poured a little bit into a glass, swirled it around, and took a sniff. It smelled super nutty and sweet, kinda like those hazelnut candies. Then, I took a sip. Wow, it was way sweeter than I expected! Definitely a dessert-y kind of drink. Not something I’d drink a lot of on its own, but I could see the potential.

Mixing Adventures

My first thought was coffee. I mean, hazelnut and coffee? Classic combo. So, I brewed a strong cup of coffee, added a shot of Frangelico, and a little bit of cream. That was pretty good! The Frangelico added this nice, sweet nuttiness that went perfectly with the coffee. It was like a fancy, grown-up version of those flavored coffee creamers.

  • Brewed Coffee: Strong black Coffee.
  • Frangelico: 1 shot.
  • Cream:a splash.

Then, because I was on the roll,I tried mixing it with some other ingredients in my bar.

Lastly, I mixed up equal parts of Frangelico and milk. I shook that with ice, and let me tell you, it was like a boozy milkshake! Simple, but surprisingly * is just like an adult chocolate milk.

The Verdict

Frangelico? Definitely a fun liqueur to play around with. It’s sweet, so you gotta balance it out, but it adds this really nice, nutty flavor to drinks. I’m thinking I might try it in some baking recipes next, maybe a cake or some cookies. If you’re looking for something different to add to your home bar, I’d say give Frangelico a shot!
