Okay, so yesterday I was craving something sweet, but I also didn’t want to, like, do a lot. You know those days? Then I remembered this super easy peach cobbler recipe I saw a while back. It’s only 3 ingredients, and you just dump it all in the slow cooker. Seriously, the hardest part is waiting for it to cook.

Getting Started

First, I grabbed my slow cooker. Mine’s a pretty standard size, I think like 6 quarts? Whatever, it works. I didn’t even bother greasing it. That felt a little weird, but the recipe said it was fine, and who am I to argue with the internet?

Then came the ingredients. This is the best part:

Slow Cooker Peach Cobbler: Only 3 Ingredients Required
  • Canned peaches: I got two big cans (about 29 ounces each) of sliced peaches in heavy syrup. I figured the syrup would add extra sweetness.
  • Yellow cake mix: Just a regular box, nothing fancy. I think mine was about 15 ounces.
  • Butter: One stick, which is half a cup. Unsalted, because that’s what I had.

Putting It All Together

I dumped the peaches, syrup and all, straight into the slow cooker. Then I poured the dry cake mix evenly over the top. It looked kind of, you know, powdery and not very appetizing, but I trusted the process.

Next, I sliced the stick of butter into, like, maybe eight pieces? Didn’t measure or anything. I just scattered the butter slices over the cake mix, trying to space them out somewhat evenly.

Time to Wait (The Hardest Part)

I put the lid on the slow cooker and set it to low. The recipe said 4-6 hours on low, or 2-3 hours on high. Since I wasn’t in a rush, I went with low. And then…I waited. My house started to smell amazing after a couple of hours. Peachy, buttery, delicious.

The Big Reveal

After about 5 hours, I couldn’t take it anymore. I lifted the lid, and it looked so good. The top was all golden and bubbly, and the peaches were soft and cooked through. I scooped some into a bowl and added a big dollop of vanilla ice cream. Because, obviously.

It was seriously amazing. Warm, gooey, sweet, and just the right amount of buttery goodness. The cake mix had turned into this perfect cobbler topping, and the peaches were soft and juicy. Plus, cleanup was a breeze. Just a quick rinse of the slow cooker, and that was it.

So, yeah, this 3-ingredient crockpot peach cobbler is definitely going into my regular rotation. Super easy, minimal effort, and maximum deliciousness. What’s not to love?
