Okay, so I wanted to make some guacamole today, but I only had one avocado. I thought, “Can I even make guac with just one avocado?” Turns out, you totally can! And it’s super easy. Here’s what I did:
Get the Stuff Ready
First, I grabbed my one lonely, ripe avocado from the counter. It was just sitting there, looking all sad and stuff. Then, I got out a lime, a red onion, and some garlic. I also made sure I had some salt and pepper on hand.
Do the Mixing
I cut the avocado in half and took out the pit. Then, I scooped out all that green goodness into a bowl. I squeezed the lime over the avocado. I love how the tangy lime juice mixes with the creamy avocado – yum! Next, I chopped up a little bit of the red onion and minced some garlic. I threw those into the bowl, too. I just eyeballed the amounts, you know, to my taste. Finally, I added a pinch of salt and pepper.

Mash it Up
Now came the fun part – mashing! I used a fork to mash everything together. I like my guac a little chunky, so I didn’t mash it too much. If you like it smoother, you can mash it more. It’s all up to you.
Taste and Adjust
Of course, I had to taste it! I scooped up a bit with a chip and took a bite. It was pretty good, but I thought it needed a little more lime juice, so I added another squeeze. I also added a tiny bit more salt. Perfect!
Eat it Up!
And that’s it! My super simple, one-avocado guacamole was ready to eat. I grabbed a bag of chips and went to town. It was so good, I ate the whole bowl myself! It’s amazing how something so simple can be so delicious. I think I found a new way to make my snack.
- Tips:
- If you don’t have a lime, you can use lemon juice instead.
- If you like it spicy, add some chopped jalapeño or a dash of hot sauce.
- You can also add some chopped tomato if you have one.
Next time you have a single avocado, don’t just eat it plain. Make some guacamole! It’s easy, it’s delicious, and it’s a great way to use up that lonely avocado. Enjoy!
