Okay, so I wanted to share my little experiment with cooking frozen cookies in my air fryer. I’ve been seeing all these posts about how amazing air fryers are, and I figured, why not try it with something as simple as cookies?
First things first, I grabbed a bag of those frozen cookie dough balls from the store. You know, the kind you can just pop in the oven? Yeah, those. I preheated my air fryer to around 350°F (175°C). It only took like 2 or 3 minutes to get hot. While that was going on, I lined the air fryer basket with a piece of parchment paper. I figured it’s better than letting them stick, right?
Once the air fryer was ready, I arranged the frozen cookie dough balls in the basket. I made sure they weren’t touching each other, giving them a little bit of space to expand. I was using a small one so I only put 4 pieces of cookies in it. Then, I slid the basket back into the air fryer and set the timer.
Now, here’s where I had to do a bit of guesswork. Some folks online were saying 8-10 minutes for dough balls, others were saying longer. I decided to start with 8 minutes, just to be safe.
- After 8 minutes, I peeked inside. They were starting to look golden, but still a bit soft in the middle.
- I gave them another 2 minutes, making it a total of 10 minutes.
- When the timer went off again, I checked them out.
They looked perfect – golden brown on the outside and still a little gooey on the inside, just how I like them! I took them out carefully and let them cool for a minute or two on a plate.
The result? Pretty darn good cookies, if I do say so myself! They were crispy around the edges and soft in the center. It was way faster than using a regular oven, and honestly, less hassle. I think the only issue I had was figuring out the perfect cooking time, but after the first try, I think I’ve got it down. Next time, I’ll definitely try it with a full bag, I mean, they do not occupy much space actually.
So, if you’re ever in a hurry and craving some warm cookies, don’t be afraid to try your air fryer. It might just become your new favorite way to bake!
