Okay, so, I had this party coming up, and I was, like, totally clueless about what to bring. I wanted something that everyone would love, you know, something that’s not too fancy but still super tasty. Then I remembered these little smokies wrapped in bacon that my aunt used to make. They were always a hit, so I thought, why not give them a try?
I started by gathering all the ingredients. It was pretty simple, really. Just some little smokies sausages, bacon, and brown sugar. I think there are a few other things you could add, but I wanted to keep it simple this time.
Next, I took each little sausage and wrapped it with a piece of bacon. It was a bit time-consuming, wrapping all those little guys, but it was kind of fun, too. Once they were all wrapped, I laid them out in a baking dish.

Then came the best part – the brown sugar. I sprinkled a generous amount of brown sugar all over the bacon-wrapped sausages. I made sure each one was nicely coated. You want that sweet and savory thing going on, right?
- Preheated the oven to, like, 350 degrees.
- Popped the dish in.
- Baked them for about 25-30 minutes.
You gotta keep an eye on them, though. You want the bacon to be crispy but not burnt.
When they were done, I took them out of the oven. Oh boy, they smelled amazing! The brown sugar had melted and caramelized, and the bacon was all crispy. They looked so good, I almost didn’t want to share them!
I brought them to the party, and guess what? They were a huge hit! Everyone loved them. They were gone in, like, minutes. I even had a few people ask me for the recipe.
So, yeah, that’s my little story about making these brown sugar bacon-wrapped little smokies. They’re super easy to make, and they’re always a crowd-pleaser. If you’re looking for a simple but delicious appetizer, you should totally give these a try. You won’t regret it!
