Alright, so I was in the middle of baking my favorite banana bread the other day, and guess what? I realized I was out of coconut oil. Panic mode, right? But then I thought, hey, there’s gotta be something else I can use. So I started digging around my kitchen and doing a bit of research on my phone.

Next, I remembered I had some applesauce in the fridge. I saw somewhere online that applesauce can be a substitute for oil in baking. Makes sense, it’s wet and a bit sweet, which is what oil kinda does in a recipe, right? I decided to add a bit of that too, just to see if it would make the bread extra moist. I didn’t replace all the oil with applesauce, just added a little extra.
