Okay, so I saw this recipe going around online for “Easy Family Recipes Philly Cheesesteak Sliders” and I thought, “Hey, I could totally make that!” I mean, who doesn’t love a good cheesesteak, right? And in slider form? Even better! Perfect for a lazy Sunday, watching some football.
So, first things first, I grabbed all the ingredients. I’m talking thinly sliced steak – I used ribeye ’cause it’s my favorite, but you do you. Then some onions, bell peppers, and of course, the cheese. Provolone is the classic choice, so that’s what I went with. Oh, and the slider buns! Can’t forget those little guys.
I started by slicing up the onions and peppers. I like my onions kinda caramelized, so I threw them in a pan with a little butter and let them cook low and slow. While that was going, I seasoned the steak with some salt, pepper, and a little garlic powder. Nothing too fancy, just enough to give it some flavor.
Once the onions were nice and soft, I cranked up the heat and added the steak to the pan. Cooked that until it was browned and juicy. Then I tossed in the peppers just to get them a little tender.
Now comes the fun part – assembling the sliders! I took those soft little buns and slathered some garlic butter on them. Then I piled on the steak, onions, and peppers. Topped it all off with a slice of provolone cheese.
I popped those bad boys in the oven at 375 degrees. Just until the cheese was all melty and the buns were a little toasty. Probably took about, I don’t know, 10-15 minutes? I wasn’t really paying attention, I was too busy drooling.
And let me tell you, these things were amazing! The steak was tender, the onions were sweet, the cheese was gooey… It was like a little bite of heaven. Seriously, you guys gotta try these. They’re super easy to make, and they’re a total crowd-pleaser. Even my picky eaters loved them!
Next time, I might try adding some mushrooms, or maybe even some spicy peppers. The possibilities are endless!
- Give them a try for you next party.
- They are the perfect little bites.
