Okay, so today I wanted to make something easy and tasty, and I remembered this chicken recipe I hadn’t made in a while. It’s called “chicken crockpot with cream of mushroom soup,” and it’s super simple. I grabbed my crockpot, which is basically a slow cooker, and got started.
Getting Started
First, I took some chicken breasts out of the fridge. I had about four of them. I put them straight into the crockpot. No need to cut them or anything. Then I opened a can of cream of mushroom soup. I poured the whole can right over the chicken breasts.
- Chicken breasts
- Cream of mushroom soup
Seasoning it Up
I sprinkled some salt and pepper on top. Just a little bit, you know, to give it some flavor. I also like to add some garlic powder because I love garlic. I just sprinkled that in there too. You can add any other spices you like, but I kept it simple this time.
Cooking Time
After that, I put the lid on the crockpot and turned it on. I set it to low heat because I wanted the chicken to cook slowly and get really tender. I left it like that for about 4 hours. You could probably cook it on high for less time, but I wasn’t in a hurry.
The Final Result
When I came back 4 hours later, the house smelled amazing! I opened the crockpot, and the chicken was cooked through and really moist. The soup had turned into a creamy sauce, which looked delicious. I took the chicken out and shredded it a bit with a fork. It was so tender it practically fell apart.
I served the chicken with some rice and veggies. It was a hit! Everyone loved it. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the sauce was perfect over the rice. This recipe is definitely a keeper. It’s so easy, and you can just set it and forget it. Perfect for a busy day!
