Okay, so I’ve been seeing these Reese’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Revel Bars all over the internet and I finally caved. I had to make them. Let me tell you, it was a journey, but a delicious one.
First off, I gathered all my ingredients. It’s your basic stuff – butter, sugar, eggs, flour, the usual suspects. But then you’ve got the stars of the show: peanut butter and chocolate. I used a whole jar of smooth peanut butter, and for the chocolate, I went with semi-sweet chips. I figured, go big or go home, right?
I started by creaming together the butter and sugars. I used both white and brown sugar, because that’s what the recipe I found suggested. It made the dough nice and chewy, I think. Then, I beat in the eggs and vanilla. Nothing too fancy, just making sure everything was mixed well.

Next, I mixed in the dry ingredients – flour, baking soda, and salt. I made sure to add the flour gradually, because no one wants a flour explosion in their kitchen. I’ve been there, done that, and it’s not fun to clean up.
Now for the fun part! I spread about half of that dough into a greased baking pan. Then, I got to work on the peanut butter filling. I warmed up the peanut butter in the microwave for a few seconds, just to make it easier to spread. It makes it like smooth but still gooey.
I mixed the warm peanut butter with some sweetened condensed milk – seriously, that stuff is like liquid gold. And then some powdered sugar to thicken it up. Then I spread it into the base.
Then I melted the chocolate chips. I did it over a double boiler, because I didn’t want to risk burning the chocolate. It smells like heaven when it’s melting.
After the chocolate was melted, I added that to the peanut butter mixture. Then I swirled it all together with a knife to make it look pretty. It’s like a work of art.
Finally, I crumbled the rest of the dough over the top. It was a bit messy, but hey, baking is supposed to be fun, right?
I popped the whole thing into the oven at 350 degrees and let it bake. It took maybe about 25-30 minutes? I just kept an eye on it until it was golden brown and the edges were set.
The hardest part was waiting for it to cool. But I managed to resist, somehow. I made coffee and it was perfect with the bars.

Once it was cool enough, I cut them into squares. And oh. My. Goodness. They were amazing! The combination of peanut butter and chocolate is just perfect, and the bars were so gooey and delicious.
Here’s a quick rundown of what I did:
- Creamed butter and sugars, then added eggs and vanilla.
- Mixed in dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, salt).
- Spread half the dough in a pan.
- Made the peanut butter filling by combining warm peanut butter, sweetened condensed milk and powdered sugar.
- Melted chocolate chips and mixed it into the peanut butter filling.
- Crumbled remaining dough on top.
- Baked at 350 until golden brown.
- Let it cool, then cut and enjoy!
These bars are definitely going into my regular baking rotation. They’re easy to make, and they’re a real crowd-pleaser. If you’re a fan of Reese’s, you HAVE to try these!
