Okay, so the other day I was craving something sweet, and a peach cobbler sounded just perfect. But, you know, I wanted something easy and quick. That’s when I decided to use Jiffy baking mix. It turned out pretty awesome, so I figured I’d share my little baking adventure with you guys.
First off, I preheated my oven to 375°F (190°C). While the oven was heating up, I got started on the peaches. I used canned peaches because that’s what I had on hand, but fresh or frozen would work just as well, I reckon.
I grabbed a bowl and dumped in the sliced peaches. Then, I added some sugar – not too much, just enough to sweeten them up a bit. I gave it a good stir to make sure all the peaches were nicely coated with sugar. That’s basically it for the filling.

- Preheat oven to 375°F
- Mix peaches and sugar in a bowl
- Stir well
Next up, the Jiffy mix. I followed the instructions on the box, which was super simple. I just added some milk and an egg to the mix, and whisked it all together until it was smooth. No lumps, please! This is going to be the cobbler topping, so you want it nice and even.
Pouring and Baking
Once the batter was ready, I poured the peach mixture into a baking dish. I spread it out evenly, then poured the Jiffy mix batter right on top of the peaches. I made sure to cover all the peaches with the batter. Then, into the oven it went!
I baked it for about 30 minutes. You’ll know it’s done when the top is golden brown and the peaches are all bubbly. The smell in my kitchen was amazing – that warm, sweet, peachy aroma. It was hard to wait for it to cool down!
Finally, I took it out of the oven and let it cool for a bit. I mean, you gotta let it cool or you’ll burn your tongue. Trust me, I’ve been there. After about 10 minutes of waiting – which felt like forever – I scooped out a big serving and dug in. It was delicious! The topping was fluffy and the peaches were sweet and juicy. Just perfect.
This Jiffy mix peach cobbler is definitely going to be a regular in my house. It’s so easy to make and tastes like you spent hours in the kitchen. I might even try it with different fruits next time. Maybe apples or berries? The possibilities are endless!
Honestly, if you’re looking for a quick and tasty dessert, give this a try. You won’t be disappointed. Plus, it’s a fun little baking project that doesn’t require a ton of effort. And who doesn’t love a good peach cobbler, am I right?
I just thought I would share that with all of you. Let me know if you try it out! Bye for now!
