Okay, so I’ve been craving lobster lately, but who has the time (or money!) for a fancy restaurant meal? I found some pre-made lobster cakes in the fridge, and I was like, “Hmm, I wonder if I can air fry these?” Turns out, you totally can, and it’s ridiculously easy.
Getting Started
First, I grabbed those refrigerated lobster cakes. I think they’d been in there for a day or two? Make sure yours aren’t super old.
Prep Time (Almost None!)
Honestly, the hardest part was opening the package. Seriously. I didn’t do anything fancy – no extra breading, no oil spray, nothing. I just took them straight from the fridge to the air fryer.

Into the Air Fryer
I placed the lobster cakes in the air fryer basket. I made sure they weren’t touching, so they could get crispy all around. You want that golden-brown goodness, right?
Cooking Time and Temp
- I set the air fryer to 370°F (because other times that I air fry I use similar temps, so why not).
- I cooked them for about 6 minutes.
- Then, I flipped them over and cooked for another 5-6 minutes.
Keep an eye on them! You want them heated through and nicely browned, but not burnt. Every air fryer is a little different, so your timing might vary a bit.
The Results!
Oh. My. Goodness. These turned out SO good! They were crispy on the outside and warm and flavorful on the inside. Way better than pan-frying, and definitely less messy. I whipped up a quick lemon-dill sauce (just mayo, lemon juice, and some fresh dill), and it was the perfect complement.
Seriously, this is my new go-to for a quick and easy, but still kinda fancy, meal. I highly recommend giving it a try!
