Okay, here’s my blog post about making blueberry and chocolate chip cookies, written in a casual, personal style:

Alright, so I’ve been on a real baking kick lately. And what’s better than cookies? NOTHING. I decided to whip up a batch of blueberry and chocolate chip cookies, because why not combine two awesome things, right?

First, I gathered all my stuff. This is the boring part, but you gotta do it. I’m talking flour, sugar (both white and brown, because that’s how I roll), baking soda, salt, butter (the real stuff, people!), an egg, some vanilla extract, and of course, the stars of the show: blueberries and chocolate chips. I used semi-sweet chips, because I like that little bit of bitter with the sweet.

Getting Started

I creamed together the butter and sugars. I used my trusty stand mixer, but you could totally do this by hand if you’re feeling strong. You want it to be nice and fluffy. Then, I cracked in the egg and poured in the vanilla. Mix it all up until it’s, you know, combined. Don’t overmix it, though.

The Dry Stuff

  • In a separate bowl, I whisked together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Just a quick whisk to make sure everything is evenly distributed.
  • Then, I slowly added the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Again, don’t overmix! Just until it’s barely combined. You don’t want tough cookies. Nobody wants tough cookies.

The Goodies

Now for the fun part! I gently folded in the blueberries and chocolate chips. I used fresh blueberries, and, honestly I did’t measure it, just add a lot. I dumped in a good amount of chocolate chips, too. No skimping on the good stuff!

Bake Time!

I dropped spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet. I used parchment paper because I hate cleaning up stuck-on cookie bits. Then, into the oven they went! I baked them at 375 degrees, I guess, it’s the normal number of baking cookies. I checked it until they were golden brown around the edges, maybe 10-12 minutes? I kinda just eyeballed it, to be honest. I always watch it closely to avoid any burning-cookies disasters.

The Result

And there you have it! Warm, gooey, blueberry and chocolate chip cookies. They were seriously delicious. The blueberries were all juicy and the chocolate was melty. So good! I ate, like, five of them right away. No regrets.

If you’re looking for a simple, delicious cookie recipe, you gotta try this one. It’s a crowd-pleaser, for sure. Trust me, my very picky family loves it. Next time, I might add some lemon zest, I think that would be a pretty nice touch. I’ll let you know how that goes!
