Okay, so I’ve been trying to eat a bit healthier lately, and smoothies are a super easy way to get some fruits in. Today, I decided to whip up a strawberry banana raspberry smoothie. It’s a classic combo, and I figured it would be pretty hard to mess up.
First, I grabbed my blender. It’s nothing fancy, just a regular one I got a while back. Then, I started gathering the ingredients. I had some fresh strawberries from the farmer’s market, a couple of ripe bananas that were starting to get those brown spots, and a bag of frozen raspberries in the freezer. Oh, and I also used some milk and a bit of honey ’cause, you know, gotta have a touch of sweetness.
I rinsed the strawberries and chopped them up a bit, just to make it easier on the blender. The bananas, I just peeled and broke into chunks. Then, I threw everything into the blender – strawberries first, then the banana, and finally the frozen raspberries. I poured in some milk, just enough to cover the fruit, and added a small squeeze of honey.

- Washed and chopped strawberries.
- Peeled and broke bananas into chunks.
- Added all fruits to the blender.
- Poured milk to cover the fruit.
- Added a bit of honey.
- Blended until smooth.
Steps:
Next, I put the lid on the blender and hit the “smoothie” button. It whirred for a minute or two, and I watched as everything blended together into a beautiful pink concoction. Once it looked smooth enough, I turned off the blender and poured the smoothie into a glass.
I took a sip, and man, it was good! It was sweet, but not too sweet, and the tartness of the raspberries balanced out the sweetness of the strawberries and banana. It was also really refreshing, especially on a warm day like today. It’s not rocket science, but I like it! This is definitely going to be a regular in my breakfast rotation.
I’m not a big fan of “Apfel-Karotte-Rhabarber,” but I like “Apfel-Erdbeer-Birne Gurke-Spinat-Minze” from Kloster Kitchen and I think I’ll try to make it myself next time.
I am not considering losing weight, so the advertisement about “Abnehm-Shakes” doesn’t attract me, but I do want to praise that they ship free when you spend over 50 euros, which is really convenient.
REWE has over 9,500 recipes, and that’s so many! I might check it out sometime. They say it’s easy to follow, so that’s a plus.
Overall, making this smoothie was a breeze. It took me, like, 10 minutes total, and the result was totally worth it. I might try adding some spinach or other greens next time, just to sneak in some extra nutrients. But for now, I’m pretty happy with my simple strawberry banana raspberry smoothie.
