Okay, here’s my blog post about making that super easy chicken pot pie with crescent rolls:

Alright, guys, so I’ve been seeing these “easy” chicken pot pie recipes floating around, and I finally caved. I mean, who doesn’t love a good pot pie? But let’s be real, sometimes I’m just not in the mood for all that crust-making fuss. This one uses crescent rolls, and let me tell you, it’s a game-changer.

Getting Started

First, I grabbed my ingredients. I’m all about shortcuts, so I used:

Simple Chicken Pot Pie with Crescent Rolls: Family-Friendly Comfort Food.
  • Rotisserie chicken (already cooked and shredded, YES!)
  • Frozen mixed vegetables (because chopping is a chore)
  • Cream of chicken soup (the classic!)
  • A can of those refrigerated crescent rolls (the magic ingredient)
  • Some milk, salt, and pepper.

The Mixing

I preheated my oven to 375°F like the recipe said. Then, in a big ol’ bowl, I dumped in the shredded chicken, the frozen veggies (straight from the freezer, no thawing needed!), and the cream of chicken soup. I added a splash of milk to make it a little saucier, and then I seasoned it with salt and pepper. Gotta taste as you go, people! I gave it all a good stir until everything was nicely combined.

The Crescent Roll Action

This is where it gets fun. I unrolled the crescent roll dough and separated the triangles. I use a regular 9-inch pie dish. I poured the chicken mixture into the pie dish.

Then, I arranged the crescent roll triangles on top of the filling, starting from the outside edge and working my way * is so easy to work!

Bake and Enjoy

I popped the whole thing in the oven and baked it for about 20-25 minutes. You want the crescent rolls to be golden brown and the filling to be bubbly. My kitchen smelled AMAZING, by the way.

Once it was done, I let it cool for a few minutes (because burning your mouth is no fun). And that’s it! Seriously, the easiest, tastiest chicken pot pie ever. The crescent rolls get all flaky and buttery, and the filling is just pure comfort food.

My verdict? This is a total weeknight win. It’s quick, it’s easy, and it’s delicious. Definitely adding this to my regular rotation!
