Pizza Logs Recipe: Try This Easy and Delicious Snack!

Okay, so the other day, I got this massive craving for pizza logs. You know, those crispy, cheesy, pepperoni-filled snacks? I could’ve just bought some frozen ones, but where’s the fun in that? I decided to make them from scratch, and let me tell you, it was a journey!

Getting Started

First, I had to figure out what I even needed. I rummaged through my pantry and fridge and came up with this:

  • Dough: I used store-bought pizza dough, because, let’s be real, making dough from scratch is a whole other project.
  • Sauce: I had a jar of my favorite pizza sauce.
  • Cheese: Mozzarella, of course! I went with the low-moisture, part-skim kind, shredded.
  • Pepperoni: The classic! I got the pre-sliced kind.
  • Egg: For an egg wash to make ’em golden brown.
  • Oil: For frying. I used vegetable oil.

The Rolling and Filling

I rolled out the pizza dough on a floured surface. I tried to make it as much like a rectangle as possible, cut some not-so-perfect rectangles out of the dough,it’s harder than it looks. Then I spread a thin layer of sauce on each rectangle, I don’t want no soggy logs. And spread shredded cheese and put 3 slices pepperoni in the center.

The Folding And Frying

I put a bit of water on the edges of the dough, and fold the dough in half, carefully pinching them to close tightly. I whisked an egg in a small bowl to make the egg wash.I brushed the egg wash to the logs. Then, I heat the oil in the pot, and I carefull put the pizza logs in, and fried them until they looked crispy and golden brown.

The Taste Testing

Oh my goodness, this pizza logs are great! Crispy on the outside, and delicious on the inside! I will do it again some day!
