Okay, so I’ve been seeing these “loaded teas” all over social media, and I finally decided to give it a shot. I mean, they look so colorful and refreshing, perfect for a little afternoon pick-me-up. I gotta admit, I was a little intimidated at first – all those different ingredients and layers! But it turned out to be way easier than I thought.
Getting Started
First things first, I gathered all my supplies. This is probably the most important part, ’cause you don’t wanna be halfway through and realize you’re missing something. I went with a basic recipe I found, just to keep things simple for my first try. So I grabbed:
- Sugar-free drink mix packets (I chose a raspberry lemonade flavor).
- Some 4C Energy Rush (Citrus flavor – seemed like a good combo).
- Aloe vera juice (the plain, unflavored kind).
- A packet of True Lemon crystallized lemon.
- Lots of ice.
- Water, of course.
Mixing it Up
Now for the fun part! I filled a big 32-ounce cup with ice. Like, really packed it in there. Then, in a separate smaller cup, I mixed about 4 ounces of cold water with half of the raspberry lemonade packet. I stirred that up until it was all dissolved.

Then I added around one table spoon of Aloe Vera Juice into that small cup and mixed it up.
I carefully poured that raspberry lemonade mixture over the ice in the big cup. It created this nice, pretty layer at the bottom.
In that same small cup (after rinsing it out), I combined about 8 ounces of cold water with the citrus 4C Energy Rush packet and the True Lemon packet. I made sure to stir this one really well, ’cause that energy powder can be a little clumpy.
The Final Touch
Finally, I slowly poured the citrus mixture over the raspberry layer in the big cup. The key here is to pour it gently, so the layers don’t mix too much. You want that cool ombre effect, right? And that was pretty much it! I popped in a straw, and there it was – my very own homemade loaded tea!
It was surprisingly good! Super refreshing, not too sweet, and definitely gave me a little boost of energy. I can see why these things are so popular. I’m already thinking about trying different flavor combinations next time. Maybe a blue raspberry and lime? Or a strawberry and pineapple? The possibilities are endless! I’m definitely adding this to my list of go-to drinks. If I can do it. Anyone can do it!
