Okay, so the other day I had this huge watermelon, and after eating about half of it, I was like, “What am I gonna do with all this leftover juice?” I didn’t want to just throw it away, you know? So, I started messing around in the kitchen.
My Watermelon Juice Experiments
First, I just poured some of the juice into a glass. Duh, right? It was super refreshing, especially since it was a hot day. But then I thought, “I can do more than just drink it.”
So, I grabbed my blender. I threw in some ice cubes, a little bit of the watermelon juice, and some frozen strawberries I had in the freezer. I blended it all up, and boom! Instant watermelon-strawberry slushy. It was pretty good, not gonna lie.
- Ice cubes
- Watermelon juice
- Frozen strawberries
Next, I got a little fancier. I squeezed some lime juice into a glass, added some of the watermelon juice, and then topped it off with some sparkling water. It was like a homemade watermelon soda, but way healthier (probably).
Feeling adventurous,I even tried making popsicles! I just poured the straight watermelon juice into some popsicle molds and stuck them in the freezer. A few hours later, I had these awesome, all-natural watermelon popsicles. My kids loved them!
So yeah, that’s what I ended up doing with my leftover watermelon juice. It was actually kind of fun to experiment and see what I could come up with. Who knew watermelon juice could be so versatile?
