Okay, so I’ve been totally obsessed with Starbucks’ Strawberry Acai Refreshers lately. But my wallet? Not so much. So, I thought, “Why not try making this at home?” And guess what? It turned out to be a pretty fun little project!
First, I gathered all the stuff I needed. I already had some strawberries at home, and I remembered that we can get some acai stuff from the market. And since I wanted to make it a bit healthier, I decided to use natural sweeteners only.
Mixing It Up
- I started by slicing the strawberries. I used about a cup, but you can totally use more if you love that strawberry flavor.
- Then, I threw those strawberries into a blender. I added a pack of frozen acai puree. I found it at the supermarket in the frozen fruit section.
- Next, I poured in some water. I used about two cups, but I played around with it until I got the consistency I liked.
- For the sweetness, I used a bit of honey. I figured it would be a good substitute for all that sugary stuff Starbucks uses.
- I also put some ice in the blender.
- Finally, I blended everything until it was smooth. I had to stop and stir a couple of times to make sure everything was mixed well.
The Taste Test
I poured the mixture into a glass and took a sip. It was pretty good! It wasn’t exactly like Starbucks, but it was definitely refreshing. It had that sweet and tart taste that I love about the Strawberry Acai Refresher, but it was a little more… natural? And it has some similar taste like fruity sweetness and tartness.

I shared it with my family, and they liked it too! My sister suggested adding a squeeze of lemon next time, which I think I’ll try.
So, that’s how I made a strawberry acai drink at home. It was a fun experiment, and I’ll definitely be making it again. It’s a great way to save some money and enjoy a tasty drink. Plus, you can totally customize it to your liking!
