Okay, so I’ve been seeing these lemon pepper chicken recipes all over my feed, and I finally caved. I grabbed some chicken legs, ’cause they were on sale, and decided to give it a shot using my air fryer. I’m all about that crispy skin without the oily mess, you know?

Getting Started

First things first, I patted those chicken legs dry with paper towels. Like, really dry. This is key for getting that good browning. Then, I whipped up a quick seasoning mix.

  • Lemon pepper seasoning: I used a pre-made blend, because I’m lazy like that.
  • Salt: Just a pinch, since the lemon pepper already had some.
  • Garlic powder: Because, garlic.

Into the Air Fryer

I cooked them for about 20 minutes, then flipped them over and cooked for another 15-20 minutes. The exact time will depend on your air fryer and the size of your chicken legs, so just keep an eye on them. You want them to be golden brown and cooked through.

The Result

Pulled them out and, oh man, they looked amazing. Seriously crispy skin, and the smell? Intoxicating. I let them rest for a few minutes before digging in, ’cause I didn’t want to burn my mouth.

The chicken was super juicy and flavorful. The lemon pepper was definitely the star, but the garlic and paprika added a nice little somethin’ somethin’. I served them with some roasted veggies, but honestly, they would be great with anything. Or even just on their own.
