Alright, alright, listen up! We’re gonna make somethin’ called a… uh… “mix strawberry daiquiri and pina colada”, or somethin’ like that. Fancy name, huh? Don’t matter, it’s gonna taste good, that’s all that counts.
First off, we need some stuff. Think we need them strawberries, yeah, the red ones. Make sure they’re clean, don’t want no dirt in our drink. Wash ’em good, like you wash your hands before dinner. Then, we need somethin’ called “coconut cream”. Now, they told me, it ain’t the same as coconut milk. Milk’s thin, cream’s thick, got it? We want the thick stuff. They say it makes the drink all smooth and creamy.
Then there’s pineapple juice. You know, the sweet stuff from them pineapples. Get the good kind, not that watery stuff. And of course, rum! Gotta have rum. White rum, they said. Don’t go pourin’ in the dark stuff, it ain’t gonna taste right. This ain’t no moonshine, this is fancy stuff, or supposed to be, anyway.
Okay, now for the makin’ part. Throw them strawberries in that blender thingy. Whirr it up good, make ’em all mushy. Then, pour in that coconut cream, remember, the thick one? Yeah, that’s it. Then the pineapple juice, pour it right in. Don’t be shy, we ain’t makin’ no tea here. And last but not least, the rum! Now, don’t go crazy with the rum. Just enough to make it taste good, you hear? Too much, and you’ll be seein’ double and stumblin’ around like a fool.
Now, some folks, they like it different. Some like it more strawberried, some like it more coconutty. It’s all up to you. Me? I like it balanced, a little bit of everything. You can play around with it. Maybe add a little more pineapple, maybe a little less rum, whatever tickles your fancy. It’s your drink, make it how you want it.

They also told me somethin’ ‘bout a “daiquiri”. Said it’s supposed to be tart, not too sweet. And a “pina colada” is the sweet, slushy kind. So, I guess we’re mixin’ them two together, makin’ somethin’ in between. Sweet and tart, just the way I like it. Not too much of one thing, you know? Like life, gotta have a little bit of everything.
And ice! Can’t forget the ice. Makes it all cold and refreshing. Throw a handful or two in that blender. The more ice, the thicker it gets. If you like it thin, don’t put in too much. If you like it thick, like a milkshake, then load it up. It’s all about what you like. Don’t let nobody tell you how to make your drink.
Now, blend it all up. Blend it real good, till it’s all smooth and creamy. You don’t want no chunks of ice floatin’ around in there. That ain’t no good. Blend it till it looks like a slushy, you know, like them things the kids get at the fair. Yeah, that’s it.
And there you have it. A “mix strawberry daiquiri and pina colada,” or whatever you wanna call it. Pour it in a glass, stick a straw in it, and enjoy. It’s sweet, it’s tart, it’s got rum in it, what’s not to like? Perfect for a hot day, or any day, really. Go on, try it. You won’t be disappointed. And if you don’t like it, well, more for me!
