Okay, so I’ve been seeing these apple cider vinegar gummies everywhere lately, right? And I got curious. My friend told me it helps her digestion a lot. But she is an adult. I have a 13 years old daughter. She keeps complaining about her stomach recently. I think maybe I can try some apple cider vinegar gummies on her. So, I did a little digging to see if they’re okay for kids and what the deal is with the age limit.
First off, I went online and started searching for information. Seems like a lot of parents are into these gummies for themselves, but there’s not a ton of clear info about giving them to kids. I did find out that most of the brands say it is okay to take the gummies over 12 years old. But I am still not sure about that. I need to get more information.
Next, I hit up a few mom groups on Facebook. I asked if anyone had experience with giving these gummies to their teenagers. A few moms chimed in saying they give them to their kids (like, 12 and older) and haven’t had any issues. They said their kids take one gummy a day, and it seems to help with things like bloating and just generally feeling better. Sounds great!

But then, I thought, I should probably check with a professional. So, I called my daughter’s pediatrician’s office. The nurse I talked to said it’s always best to check with the doctor before starting any new supplements, even if they seem harmless. She did say, though, that apple cider vinegar itself is basically just a food, so it’s not like it’s a super strong medication or anything. Anyway, we have an appointment next week to chat about it. She also told me some people might have allergies or stomach issues like gastroparesis.
So, here’s where I’m at:
- Research: Done some basic internet sleuthing.
- Asked around: Got some feedback from other parents.
- Doctor’s appointment: Scheduled for next week.
I’m feeling pretty good about getting more info from the doctor. I’m not totally sold on the idea yet, but I’m not completely against it either. If the doc gives us the green light, I think I’ll start my daughter on a low dose and see how she does. It’s always better to be safe than sorry, especially when it comes to kids!
I’ll keep you guys posted after our appointment. Hopefully, this will help some other parents who are wondering about the same thing. Has anyone else given these gummies to their teens? I’d love to hear about your experiences!
