Okay, so I was planning my sister’s bridal shower, and she’s all about that rustic-chic vibe, you know? But flowers…oof, they can get pricey. I was determined to keep things looking elegant without, like, totally blowing the budget. So, I decided to tackle the centerpieces myself and go for inexpensive white flowers.

The Hunt for Budget-Friendly Blooms

First, I hit up my local grocery stores. Seriously, don’t underestimate them! I checked out Trader Joe’s, and even the regular supermarket. I was looking for anything white and in season, because that’s usually the cheapest.

  • Carnations: I know, I know, they get a bad rap. But honestly, a big bunch of white carnations, when arranged nicely, can look surprisingly classy. Plus, they’re super affordable.
  • Baby’s Breath: This is the ultimate filler flower! It’s delicate, adds volume, and it’s cheap as chips. I knew I’d use a lot of this.
  • Chrysanthemums: These come in so many varieties, and some of the simpler white ones are really pretty and budget-friendly.
  • Alstroemeria:If you could find it, grab it.

Putting It All Together

I grabbed some mason jars I had lying around – instant rustic charm! – and got to work.

First,I cleaned up all * filled the up water.

Then put baby’s breath in first to creat a base

and started adding the larger flowers carnations and chrysanthemums,Alstroemeria.

I’m telling you, it was way easier than I thought! The white flowers, even the “cheap” ones, looked so elegant and pretty in the mason jars. My sister loved them, and everyone at the shower was complimenting the centerpieces. I was pretty proud of myself for pulling it off without breaking the bank!
