- I filled up one cup, no problem.
- Then I filled up another. And guess what? The bag was pretty much empty!
The Result
So there you have it, folks. My experiment confirmed what I found online. A standard 12-ounce bag of chocolate chips does indeed contain approximately 2 cups. Of course, this might vary a little depending on the brand and the size of the chips, but it’s a pretty good estimate.
And just for fun, I did a little more digging. Turns out, if you have a bigger bag, like a 36-ounce one, that would be about 6 cups. And a giant 72-ounce bag? That’s a whopping 12 cups of chocolatey goodness! Imagine the cookies you could make with that!
