Okay, so I was trying to come up with a fun list for a game, you know, “name a fruit that starts with…” kind of thing. And ‘E’ came up. Honestly, I blanked. I thought, “Is there even a fruit that starts with E?” I mean, everyone knows apples, bananas, oranges… but E? That stumped me.
So, I started with good ol’ Google. Just typed in “fruits that start with E”.
My Fruit Finding Journey
- First, I scrolled through a bunch of lists. Some were helpful, some were…not so much. Lots of weird stuff I’d never heard of.
- I found a few right away that seemed legit:
- Elderberry: I’ve heard of elderberry tea, and maybe even jam, so this seemed like it fit in the list.
- Emblic:Okay, this one was totally new to me. Apparently, it’s also called Indian gooseberry. I made a note to look it up later.
- Then things got a bit trickier. I saw some names that I wasn’t sure about. Are they really fruits? Or more like vegetables? Or some obscure plant part?
- I decided to do a bit more digging on some of the more unusual ones. I checked out a few different websites, just to make sure they were actually considered fruits. Gotta be accurate, right?
After I done some search and research, I was able to find out that there are not many fruits that start with the letter “E”.

It was a fun little research project, though! I definitely learned something new. And now I’m ready for the next time ‘E’ comes up in a word game. I’m prepared!
