So, I got this idea to make a list of fruits that start with the letter “R”. Sounds simple, right? Well, let’s just say it turned into a bit of a scavenger hunt!
The First Steps
I started by brainstorming, like I always do. I grabbed a pen and paper, sat down, and… blanked. Seriously, I could only think of “raspberry” at first. It’s funny how your mind goes empty when you put it on the spot.
Digging Deeper
Okay, so brainstorming wasn’t a total success. Time to hit the internet! I fired up my trusty laptop and started searching. I typed in “fruits that start with R” and boom – lists started popping up.

- Raspberry – obviously!
- Redcurrant – Never tried it.
- Rambutan – Sounds exotic.
- Rose Apple – intersting!
Making it Real
Now, seeing these names is one thing, but I wanted to actually see the fruits. So, I decided to visit a few grocery stores. I figured the bigger ones would have a better selection, especially for the more unusual fruits.
The first store was a bust. They had raspberries, of course, but nothing else on my list. The second store had redcurrants, which was cool. They were tiny and bright red, kind of like little jewels. I tossed a container of them into my basket. Still no luck with the rambutan or rose apple.
Success
Finally, there are two type of fruit begin with “R” that I found in stores.I grabbed my phone and started snapping pictures. Research complete!
It just goes to show, even a simple idea can turn into a mini-adventure. And who knows, maybe I’ll track down those other fruits someday!
