Okay, so I tried making this strawberry vinaigrette dressing today, and it turned out pretty good. I’ve been trying to eat healthier lately, and salads are a big part of that. But let’s be honest, salads can get boring real quick without a good dressing. I was browsing some recipes online and stumbled upon this one. Sounded interesting, so I gave it a go.
First, I gathered all the ingredients. I already had most of the stuff at home – olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, and some Dijon mustard. But I had to make a quick run to the grocery store for fresh strawberries. I grabbed a pint, also picked up some spring mix lettuce while I was there.
Getting Started
Once I got back, I washed the strawberries and hulled them. Then I tossed about a cup of them into my blender. I added a quarter cup of olive oil, two tablespoons of balsamic vinegar, one tablespoon of honey, and a teaspoon of Dijon mustard. Oh, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

- Blend: I blended everything until it was nice and smooth.
- Taste Test: Then came the taste test. It was a bit too tangy for my liking, so I added a little more honey.
- Blend Again: I blended it again for a few seconds.
- Second Taste Test: I tasted it again and it was perfect.
Finally, I poured the dressing into a jar and stored it in the fridge. I made a big salad with the spring mix, some grilled chicken, and a few more sliced strawberries. I drizzled some of the strawberry vinaigrette on top, and it was delicious! The dressing was sweet, tangy, and had a great strawberry flavor. It definitely made my salad a lot more exciting. I’ll be making this again for sure. It is a temporary emulsion.
It’s amazing how a simple dressing can elevate a dish. This whole process got me thinking about experimenting with other vinaigrette flavors. Maybe a raspberry one next time? We’ll see. Anyway, if you’re looking for a tasty and healthy dressing, give this strawberry vinaigrette a try. You won’t be disappointed!
