Okay, so I’ve been trying to watch my weight a bit more lately, and one thing I’ve been doing is making smoothies for breakfast. Today, I made a mango and pineapple smoothie. It was pretty good, but I was curious about how many calories it had.

First, I grabbed my blender and tossed in some frozen mango chunks. I love using frozen fruit because it makes the smoothie nice and cold without needing ice. Then I added some fresh pineapple, which I had already cut up the other day. For liquid, I just used some water, but you could use milk or juice if you want. I also threw in a little bit of protein powder for an extra boost.

I blended everything up until it was nice and smooth. It took a minute or two, I guess. I poured it into a glass and took a sip. Yum! It was sweet, tangy, and refreshing. Perfect for a quick and easy breakfast.

Now, about those calories. I’m no nutritionist, but I did a quick search online. Turns out, a mango smoothie can have around 170-200 calories, depending on the size and what you put in it. And a serving of my mango and pineapple smoothie should be about 110 calories. Mine had some protein powder in it, so that probably added a few more. Let’s just say my smoothie was somewhere around 200 calories, give or take.

According to what I found online, most of the calories in a mango smoothie come from carbs, which is mainly from the natural sugars in the fruit. There’s also a little bit of fat and protein. And this smoothie also had much fiber, potassium, and magnesium. That’s good stuff! Also, there are much vitamin C, which is great for skin health.

Some Tips

  • If you’re really watching your calories, you can measure out the ingredients before you blend them.
  • And you can also use less fruit or a lower-calorie liquid to cut down on calories.
  • Use some whole fruits to make you feel fuller for longer.

All in all, I think this mango and pineapple smoothie was a pretty healthy breakfast option. It was tasty, filling, and relatively low in calories. I’ll definitely be making it again!
