Okay, here is my sharing about the King Soopers Cherry Chip Cookie recipe:
Alright, let’s talk about these cherry chip cookies. I was craving something sweet and I wanted to try my hand at baking, so I looked up this recipe for King Soopers Cherry Chip Cookies. Sounded good, so I gave it a go.
First, I preheated my oven to 375F. While that was heating up, I grabbed a big bowl and creamed together the butter and sugar. Had to beat it until it was all smooth, you know? Then, I cracked an egg in there and added some extracts. I think it was vanilla and almond, but I just eyeballed it, to be honest.

In another bowl, I mixed the dry ingredients. Flour, a pinch of salt, and some baking soda. Oh, and I found somewhere that said cornstarch will make the cookie soft, so I threw some of that in too. Then I poured the dry stuff into the wet ingredients and mixed it all up. Make sure to not overmix it. And don’t forget the important part, added the cherry and chocolate chips! I also saw online that if I used more brown sugar than white, the cookie would be moister, so I did just that.
- Preheat oven to 375F
- Cream butter and sugar
- Beat in egg and extracts
- Mix dry ingredients in a separate bowl
- Combine wet and dry ingredients
- Stir in cherry and chocolate chips
Once the dough was ready, I scooped out little balls onto a baking sheet. I lined it with parchment paper first, so they wouldn’t stick. Then, I popped them in the oven. The recipe I found said 14-16 minutes. Mine were in for about 15, and they came out great!
They were all golden brown and smelled amazing. I let them cool for a bit, then devoured a few. They were soft, chewy, and the perfect mix of sweet cherries and chocolate. Seriously, you gotta try this recipe. It’s pretty simple, and the cookies are delicious.
What I learned
Using more brown sugar does make it more moist, and adding cornstarch did make the cookies soft! I will try to use less sugar next time, as it was a bit too sweet for me. I think I might add some nuts next time, could be good!
The recipe was easy to follow, and the result was just wonderful. Will definitely bake again.
