Alright, so today I’m gonna show you how I made guacamole with just one avocado. I found this lonely avocado in my kitchen, and it was just begging to be turned into something tasty.
First things first, I grabbed the avocado and carefully sliced it in half.
- One ripe avocado
- Lime
- Red onion
- Garlic
Scooped out all that green goodness into a bowl. I mean, you could just eat the avocado plain with a little salt or lemon juice, but I wanted guac, so guac it was.

Then I squeezed in some fresh lime juice. Lots of it. Not just for the tangy flavor, but also because I read somewhere that it helps keep the guacamole from turning brown too quickly.
Next, I chopped up a bit of red onion. Just a little bit, because I like that crunch, you know?
And of course, garlic. I minced some garlic because, honestly, who doesn’t love garlic? Threw that in the bowl too.
Then came the fun part – mashing it all up with a fork. I like my guacamole a bit chunky, so I didn’t go too crazy with the mashing. Just enough to get everything mixed together nicely.
After that, I tapped down the container of guacamole, remove tiny air pockets, as I know it is useful. Then I add a very thin layer of lime juice to the top of guacamole to prevent it from turning brown
Finally, I seasoned with a pinch of salt and a little black pepper.
And that’s it! Super simple, super tasty guacamole made with just one avocado. Perfect for when you’re craving guac but don’t want to make a huge batch.
I grabbed some tortilla chips and dug right in. It was creamy, a little crunchy, and just the right amount of zing from the lime.

Honestly, it was gone in like five minutes. Definitely making this again. It is so easy and so delicious.
