Okay, so I saw this challenge online – “Name a fruit that starts with the letter D.” Sounds easy, right? But my brain just froze. I was like, “Apples… no. Bananas… nope.” It was embarrassing!
So, I started with the obvious. I literally googled “fruits that start with D.” Don’t judge! A bunch of lists popped up, and I scrolled through them.
My Fruit Finding Process
- First, I saw “Dates.” I mean, yeah, those are fruits, but they’re not the first thing that comes to my mind. I always think vegetable first.
- Then there was “Dragon fruit.” Okay, that’s a cool one! I’ve had it in smoothies before, and it’s got that awesome bright pink color.
- I kept looking, and I found “Damson plums.” Never heard of them. Apparently, they’re small and kinda tart.
- I also discovered “Durian” during my searching.
Honestly, the list went on and on. There were some I’d never even heard of! It just goes to show how much is out there that I haven’t tried yet. I decided for save some pictures about the “Durian” to my phone for next time.
I ended up feeling pretty good about my little fruit quest. I might even try to find some of those more obscure ones at the grocery store next time I’m there. Who knows, maybe I’ll discover my new favorite fruit!
