Okay, so I was trying to come up with a fun little game for my niece, and I thought, “Let’s name fruits starting with each letter of the alphabet!” We got stuck on ‘D’, though. So, I started my quest to find some ‘D’ fruits.
First, I racked my brain. You know, the usual brainstorming. I could only think of dates, which I wasn’t even sure counted as fruit in the way I wanted.
Then I hit up the internet. I just typed in “fruits that start with D” into the search bar, nothing fancy.
My Fruity Findings
- Dates: I already knew this one, these were the easy answer.
- Dragon Fruit: I found this, so cool! I’ve seen them in the store, but I’ve never actually tried one.
- Damson Plum: Never heard of it before, but the pictures looked interesting.
- Durian: I learned Durian, I heard it’s infamous for its smell!
- Dinosaur Eggs(Pluots): I discovered Dinosaur Eggs, I think it’s another name of Pluots, its name sounds cool.
I was surprised how many I’d never even heard of! I showed the list to my niece, and she was super excited about the dragon fruit. So, next, we went to the grocery store, picked out a dragon fruit, and tried it together. It was a fun little adventure, all thanks to a simple search!
