Okay, let’s get started with my smoothie adventure!
My Pineapple Smoothie Experiment
So, I’ve been trying to eat a little healthier lately, and smoothies are a great way to pack in some fruits. I decided to make a pineapple smoothie, and I wanted to use almond milk instead of regular milk. I love pineapple, it’s so bright and sunny tasting.
First, I gathered my ingredients. I didn’t have any fresh pineapple, sadly, so I grabbed a can of pineapple chunks in juice. Not ideal, but it’ll do in a pinch. I also pulled out my trusty carton of unsweetened almond milk, some ice, and that’s about it! Super simple, right?

Putting it All Together
I dumped the pineapple chunks (juice and all) into my blender. I figured the juice would add some extra sweetness and flavor. Then, I poured in about a cup of almond milk. I just eyeballed it, really. I like my smoothies pretty thick, so I also tossed in a handful of ice cubes.
Next, I screwed the lid on tight (very important!), and blended everything up. I let it go for maybe a minute or two, until it looked nice and smooth. I stopped it a couple of times to scrape down the sides with a spatula, just to make sure everything got mixed in properly.
The Taste Test
I poured the smoothie into a glass, and… it was pretty good! The pineapple flavor was definitely there, and the almond milk made it nice and creamy. It wasn’t too sweet, which I liked. If I had used fresh pineapple, I might have added a tiny bit of honey or something, but with the canned pineapple, it was just right.
What I Learned
- Canned pineapple works, but fresh is probably better. It’ll be more vibrant, I think.
- Almond milk is a great alternative. It gives the smoothie a nice, light texture.
- Don’t be afraid to experiment! Maybe next time I’ll add some spinach or a banana.
It is a pretty easy and tasty way to get some fruit into my diet. I will try it again for sure!
