Today I wanted to make something sweet, and I remembered this cherry fluff recipe I saw online. It looked pretty easy, so I thought, why not give it a shot?
First, I gathered all my ingredients. The main thing was the Cherry Jello, which is like the star of the show. It gives the fluff that sweet, cherry flavor. I also grabbed some whipped cream, a can of crushed pineapple, and of course, a jar of maraschino cherries. I love those little guys. I made sure I had a big bowl and a spatula, too.
I started by making the Jello. I just followed the instructions on the box, you know, boil some water, pour it over the Jello powder, and stir until it dissolves. Then I added some cold water and put the bowl in the fridge to let it chill for a bit. It didn’t need to set completely, just get a little firm.

- Boil water.
- Mix Jello powder with boiling water until dissolved.
- Add cold water.
- Chill in the fridge.
While the Jello was chilling, I drained the pineapple. I didn’t want any extra liquid making my fluff watery. Then, I got the whipped cream ready. Once the Jello was a little firm, I took it out of the fridge. Here comes the fun part!
I gently folded in the whipped cream into the Jello. I did it slowly, so I didn’t lose all the air from the whipped cream. Then I added the drained pineapple and stirred it all together. Last but not least, I added a bunch of maraschino cherries. I might have added a few extra because, well, they’re my favorite. Some people cut them, but I love them whole so I keep them like that.
After everything was mixed, I put the bowl back in the fridge to let it set completely. It took a couple of hours, but it was worth the wait. The result was this beautiful, pink, fluffy dessert. It looked so good, and it tasted even better! It was sweet, creamy, and had that perfect cherry flavor. It looked good too, so Christmas Cherry Fluff sounds like a good name. My family loved it, and I think I’ll be making this again for our next family gathering. Maybe I will bring it to my neighbor since her birthday is coming soon!
Tips
It tasted great after I finished making it, but I think it would be even better if I served it right away. It seemed a little too solid after being in the fridge for a while.
